Don't sleep on a local SEO strategy if you're digital
If you are a marketplace or service-based business, you could be missing out on a big chunk of people looking for relevant products and services in your local area
Today I learned that online marketplaces and service-based consumer applications could be missing out on a big chunk of traffic with purchase intent and potential customers by only targeting “global” or national-level keywords in their SEO strategies.
If you exist digitally but ship to or provide services in local communities, you could easily turn on SEO pages for your top 10-20 metros and buy local keywords (e.g. “vintage furniture near me” or “urgent care in Houston”) and be bidding against, possibly, much less expensive and less competitive keywords.
